Career Highlights

1975 to 1982

 

With National Electricity Board (now Tenaga Nasional Nerhad) supervising the construction of:
. (1) Temengor Hydroelectric Dam near Grik, Perak

 

(2) Kenyir Hydroelectric Dam in Ulu Trengganu
(3) Pasir Gudang Power Station in Johor

.
1982 As a Senior Engineer with Sabah Gas Industries in the supervisison of the Sponge Iron Plant, Methanol Plant and Power Plant at Ranca-Ranca Industrial Area in Labuan, Sabah. Contractor used vibro-compaction equipment to build stone columns as the foundation

1982 to 1984 . As a Project Manager with McConnel Dowell Kelana Sdn Bhd in the construction of Quay No. 1 and 2 for Malaysia Shipyard and Engineering Sdn Bhd in Pasir Gudang, Johor.

1984 to 1988 As a subcontractor in the consruction of three (3) minihydro power plants for National Electricity Board at:-
(1). Sungei Bil at Slim River in Perak
(2). Sg. Kinjang at Tapah in Perak
(3). Sg. Kerling at Kerling in Selangor.

1988 to 1992 As a General Manager With the Renong Group in the Project Management of the North-South Highway Project from Bukit Kayu Hitam in Perlis to Johor Bahru in Johor. Later when in Time Engineering Berhad, involved in the tendering and construction of the 1.0 MW Bombalai Minihydro Plant near Tawau in Sabah (East Malaysia)

1992 to 1997 As a Director of  With Bilfinger + Berger Civil Construction Sdn Bhd in the construction of:
(1) Oleochemical Plant for Felda Procter & Gamble in Kuantan
(2) Bulkhead for Penang Shipbuilding & Construction Sdn Bhd at Pulau Jerejak in Penang
(3) CSR Plant in Senawang, N.Sembilan
(4) Wharf for Bina Puri Sdn Bhd at Miri, Sarawak - design & construct

1999 to 2000 As a General Manager with The Malay Chamber of Commerce in the  Project Management of the completion of 50 schools in Malaysia for the Ministry of Education on design, build and negotiated basis.

2000 to 2004 As the Chief Resident Engineer with Wan Mohamed and Khoo Sdn Bhd in association with CTI Engineering Ltd of Japan and Asociated Consulting Engineers Co.Ltd of Pakistan, for the supervision of the construction of the Beris Dam for the Drainage and Irrigation Department of Malaysia.

2004 to Now Self-employed and assisting Wan Mohamed and Khoo Sdn Bhd in the administration of the following contracts: -
(1) Contractual claims from the Beris Dam Project (completed)
(2) Land Reclamation Project at Bandar Hilir, Melaka for the Ayer Keroh Resort Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of the Lion's Group (in progress)
(3) Students Hostel at Kuala Trengganu for Yayasan Trengganu (completed) 
(4) Upgrading of the Sg.Pong Minihydro Plant at Klian Intan (preliminary stage)
(5) Other projects under proposal stage
