About 10 years ago, when I first
started to design a webpage, there was no WYSIWYG(What You See
Is What You Get) program available at that time. I had to use
the HTML (Hyper Text Mark-up Language). After the WYSIWIG
program was introduced, like
the
Microsoft Frontpage, for example, designing a webpage becomes easier and less
tedious. However, I found out that occasionally, I still have to use my
knowledge of HTML to solve a design problem, which a
WYSIWYG program cannot resolve it. Therefore, you still need to
know the basic HTML if you wish to use a
WYSIWYG programme to design your webpage. |

The tools and technology for webpage
design have advanced tremendously since the day when HTML was
created. From
a passive webpage (like this one)
now it has advanced into the reactive webpage (where
you key-in the data and you get the response back immediately).
I'd like to learn more about this when I can
find the time.
